The soap star shared details of her latest project took a chaotic turn
Claire Sweeney was supported after her latest project took a stressful turn. The soap star has been a hit with fans since she joined the cast of Coronation Street as Cassandra Plummer.
The 53-year-old has become one of the show’s main characters with it being teased she could become Steve McDonald’s new love interest. Claire is just as busy away from the Cobbles as she was set to travel to Belgium tonight to perform on a cruise ship.
However, the trip was hit with problems after the flight was cancelled. Claire shared blow-by-blow updates with her followers as she tried to get her trip back on track. She said: “I’m going to Brussels to join a cruise ship. I’m on stage tonight doing a show and the flight’s cancelled so somehow I’ve got to get to Brussels and the flight is cancelled.
She added: “There’s a Ryanair at 1pm and I’m going to see if I can get on that. Now we’re leaving terminal 2 and we’re rushing to terminal 3 to see if we can get on the Ryanair flight to Brussels.”

She captioned the post: “When your plane is cancelled !!!! Planes trains and automobiles to join Ambassador Cruise Line.” Claire had some fortunate news to share in a later update as she thought the situation had d. She said: “We’re here. We’ve checked in.
“We’re on the 3.30 flight. Bit of food and a bit of a glass of Prosecco. My show is going to be tomorrow night now.” However, the trip to Belgium took another turn when her flight was hit with a delay with Claire pressed for time to make the ship before it sets sail.
She said: “The plane was due to leave 20 minutes ago. We’re due to land two hours before the ship sailed. And it’s a one hour 50 minute transfer from the plane to the ship so I don’t know if we’re going to make it.”
Claire was trying to remain in positive spirits despite the set back as she captioned the post: “Praying we make it on time.” Friends and fans took to the comments to wish Claire well after the update.
