The supermarket has been working to introduce the change for “several years”
Tesco is introducing new items to its meal deals from Monday, October 21. The supermarket chain has teamed up with Asian-inspired restaurant Itsu to welcome four new sushi options.
Itsu’s dragon sushi roll range will be available as part of Tesco’s premium meal deals. The four varieties available include teriyaki salmon, vegetable crunch, katsu chicken and California.
Each sushi pack comes with its own mayo sachet, sweet soy sauce, and a pot of crunchy tempura pieces, the Mirror reported. Itsu grocery managing director Claudia Santagada said the chain had been working to deliver a sushi range for supermarkets for “several years”.

Alongside the new sushi range, Itsu has welcomed five new products to its Tesco frozen range. These include frozen chicken and vegetable dumplings, vegetable tempura fries, glazed miso aubergine and pumpkin crispy fritters.
The dumplings will cost three for six, with the veggie snacks costing you £3.25. The new products will be introduced from Monday, November 4.
