A large police cordon was in place on Britonside Avenue in Kirkby last night
A man has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Kirkby on Thursday. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Britonside Avenue in Kirkby yesterday (Thursday) at around 5.25pm following reports of a crash.
Merseyside Police have confirmed the crash involved a Peugeot car and a Honda motorbike. The male rider of the bike suffered injuries to his chest and was taken to hospital. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries, police have said.
A cordon was put in place on Britonside Avenue and Redhill Avenue following the incident. Photos taken by the ECHO show a bus in the centre of the cordon with its hazard lights flashing. A witness also reported seeing an air ambulance at the scene.
