Merseyside Police have now charged 92 people over shocking scenes in August
Four men have been charged after violent disorder in Merseyside. Jason Burns, 18, of Coronation Road, Crosby was arrested and charged with violent disorder in Southport, as well as burglary.
Keelan Woodhead, 25, of Tilia Green, Telford, was arrested and charged with violent disorder in Liverpool City Centre. Laurence Howarth, 33, of Carnoustie Close, Manchester, was arrested and charged with violent disorder in Southport. Christopher Carney, 33, of Town Lane, Southport, was arrested and charged with violent disorder, criminal damage to a police vehicle (both in Southport), and possession of class B drugs.
All four men have been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, October 14. The total number of arrests for violent disorder in Merseyside now stands at 129 people, with 92 charged and 67 people sentenced to a combined 145 years and two months.
