Jake Paul is set to fight Mike Tyson in November but there are fears that the fight could be scrapped amid concerns for the heavyweight legend’s health
Jake Paul has declared ‘It’s Mike Tyson or no one’ amid concerns that their eagerly awaited showdown on November 15. Paul was dealt a blow earlier this summer, when Tyson had to postpone the bout on doctor’s advice after experiencing nausea during a flight.
The return of the iconic boxer is creeping closer as they face off at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, next month. Following news of Tyson’s ill-health, there have been calls to cancel the bout as the 58-year-old makes his second comeback after hanging up the gloves in 2005.
Paul, who is one of the industry-leaders for the new influencer boxing, has fought the likes of Tommy Fury as well as mixed-martial-arts icons such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has eased concerns about Tyson, noting that he’s having a fantastic camp and added: “It’s Mike Tyson or nothing. But first and foremost, he’s healthy and feeling amazing and doing great in camp.”
He added: “Everything I’ve said has come true and why Canelo, you know, should be awake at night, because I’m coming for him. The fight is going to happen and I will win and shock the whole entire world. And, this is me currently speaking it into existence.
“People will sit there and listen to that and be like, ‘Oh, he’s crazy’. But, I was crazy when I said I’d be doing the biggest fights when I would beat Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, all of these things. So you’re crazy until you’re not.
Iron Mike was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles during his professional boxing career and Paul has expressed his nerves. He said: “Definitely. The moments of insecurity, especially moving up to heavyweight where [Tyson] has the weight advantage and all of that. He’s insanely powerful and I know he’s taking it seriously.”
