Vicky has played the role of police office DS Lisa Swain on Coronation Street since 2021
Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has taken to Instagram to send a special tribute to Coronation actress and friend Vicky Myers. Lisa is part of the Dingle clan on Emmerdale and has portrayed the role of Mandy Dingle on and off since 1995.
Vicky has played the role of police officer DS Lisa Swain on Coronation Street since 2021 and is currently at the forefront of the soap’s biggest storyline involving the villainous Joel Deering who is currently presumed dead by officers. Vicky’s character has also been growing close to Carla Connor in recent months with the friendship between the two blossoming.
Praising the performances of the Lisa Swain star, Lisa Riley posted a heartfelt message to her ”baby sister”. In the statement the Emmerdale star said: ”So unbelievably proud of my work pretend TV baby sister @vicksmyers knocking it out of the park, playing the role of Lisa so brilliantly in @coronationstreet”

She continued: ”I have always said, and mean it from the bottom of my heart, BEAUTIFUL THINGS HAPPEN TO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE…. and one thing is for sure Vicky is a absolute beauty. I am your proudest big sister….keep being you, babes.” The soap stars worked together on 2018 drama Age Before Beauty where they played sisters.
Responding to the tribute, Vicky Myers added: Well, how lovely of you! Women empowering women and what a woman you are! Thank you so much, big sis!
Fans took to the comments to support the actresses. One comment read: ”She’s amazing at what she does, also love seeing actors supporting others.”
Another comment read: ‘Aw, women lifting up other women, nothing more powerful. She’s truly a gifted actress.” One fan soap stated: ”She’s bloody brilliant! I absolutely love her in Corrie and I love you in Emmerdale too.”
The images shared show the pair almost unrecognisable to their onscreen characters. The Lisa Swain actor has pink hair on the throwback images as opposed to her on-screen character’s professional look.
