Coronation Street Jesse made his shock return this week as part of Gail Platt’s exit storyline – but fans have predicted something dark is in store for the soap icon
Sharon Marshall says Corrie’s Jesse is ‘hiding something’
Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ what Jesse Chadwick is hiding, following his bombshell return to the cobbles.
Jesse (John Thomson) first rocked up to the cobbles in December 2008, before becoming a regular character the following year. During his stint on the soap, he famously dated Corrie legend Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver).
In 2010 though, Jesse said his goodbyes to Weatherfield. However, this week, Jesse was back on the cobbles – much to the shock of several residents.
Jesse has made a return as part of Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) exit storyline. Soap icon Helen is leaving the soap this year after 50 years. And during Wednesday’s episode (October 9) Jesse returned, with the intention of seeing Gail.
It was revealed that he and Gail struck up a friendship years back when they were in Thailand. However, during the latest instalment, he got plenty of fans talking about his true intentions for his comeback.
What’s more, soap expert Sharon Marshall has also let slip that Jesse is hiding something. Appearing on This Morning on Wednesday (October 9), she spoke about about his return.
She said: “People hiding secrets. You will see that Jesse is hiding something, what’s everyone keeping quiet?” Now, fans have ‘worked out’ what Jesse is hiding – and it’s bad news for Gail.
On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person said: “Thoughts on Jesse?” Someone else chimed in and added: “Don’t trust him. He’s probably killed someone, he’s shady imo.”
A third penned: “Defo something along those lines.” Another person wrote: “Oh no Gail! She never has any luck with men.” A fifth wrote: “He will whisk Gail off into the sunset with his big luxurious life in the sun. Or he will try and kill her entire family. I think the second,” they added. A sixth penned: “I don’t trust Jesse at all, his chemistry with Gail seems fake.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
