Rylan Clark was joined by his mum, Linda Clark, on his BBC Radio Two show on Saturday afternoon
Rylan Clark was left a tad embarrassed after his mum, Linda Clark, spilled the beans live on his BBC radio show about doing a domestic chore for him. In a comical moment on BBC Radio Two’s ‘Rylan on Saturday’ on Saturday, October 6, the presenter had his mum, known affectionately as the “Queen of Stepney Green” on the air.
When Rylan asked about her day, Linda mentioned she’d been out for her “jabs” and had swung by her son’s place, where she cheekily “stole a screw” from him, reports the Manchester Evening News. But the real revelation came when she admitted to listeners that she’d taken care of some laundry for Rylan.

Linda casually remarked: “Well, I popped into you, didn’t I? Whilst I had me jabs”, leading Rylan to jest: “And you stole a screw off me.”
She added: “Oh, I’ve done that, yeah. Done that. That’s all done there. I’ve took that back and your thing. Yeah, and I took your bit of washing back.”
A flustered Rylan interjected: “What washing? Mum, don’t…stop…leave my washing! ” Nonetheless, Linda continued: “I thought I might as well hang it out; it’s a lovely….wash it and hang it out. It’s a lovely day today.”
Trying to set the record straight, the BBC Radio Two favourite said: “Oh, alright. If it makes you happy, you do it. But just for the record, I don’t tell her to do this; she just does it.”
The mother and son , who also entertain viewers on Celebrity Gogglebox, have recently been soaking up the sun in Marbella with friends, as reported by the Express. During a previous holiday in Spain, Linda experienced an unfortunate accident that resulted in a broken arm and leg. However, this didn’t stop Rylan from ensuring that his mum received the best care possible, going as far as arranging a private flight back to Blighty for her rehabilitation.
On their most recent holiday escapade, the duo were snapped beside the seaside, with Rylan posting: “The best holiday. Sad to be home but amazing memories.” He even added a cheeky prompt on social media, nudging his followers to “Scroll along to see Linda loving life.”
The post received a warm response with fans chiming in. @punkyindielass commented: “You Rylan are a special lovely person and I love how you love your mum. You look like you’ve made some wonderful memories.”
While @marym54 echoed the sentiment saying: “You all look like you’ve had the best time! ! And nothing got broken bonus.”
