Photos show the white Kia Sportage on its roof
Emergency services have shut a main road after a car flipped onto its roof. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to the scene of the crash on Upper Parliament Street at 12.23pm today, Friday, October 4, to reports that a white Kia Sportage was overturned at the junction with Princes Road.
One car was involved in the crash, with a woman being recovered from the vehicle. No injuries have been reported. At the time of writing, road closures remain with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service also in attendance.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: “We were called at 12.23pm to Upper Parliament Street to reports of an overturned white Kia Sportage at the junction of Upper Parliament Street and Princes Road. One car is involved and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance.

“The road remains closed and a woman is out of the vehicle.” Traffic monitor Inrix said: “A562 Upper Parliament Street in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from Berkley Street to Parliament Place.”
