Ryan Foster was linked to a graft phone after being stopped in a Mercedes
A hapless drug dealer is now behind bars after his reckless behaviour left a trail of evidence for police. Ryan Foster couldn’t resist showing off his criminal lifestyle, sending pictures of himself in bed with stacks of cash.
However, this meant that when police came knocking, he had no choice but to admit to the charge of supplying class A drugs. The 35 year old appeared at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, October 1, where he was handed a sentence of three years and six months in prison.
The clueless dealer had previously admitted to two counts of being involved in the supply of class A drugs (cocaine). The court heard how on Tuesday November 21, 2023, detectives initiated an investigation after becoming aware of a drug line operating in Northwich.

The drug line, a mobile number used to send out messages advertising the sale of illegal drugs, was used multiple times before switching to a new number on Tuesday December 12, 2023, which was again used to send out messages for about a month. Then, on Wednesday February 7 2024, officers on patrol in Northwich conducted a stop check on a black Mercedes-Benz seen speeding on Manchester Road, Lostock Gralam.

Foster, from Linnards Lane, Wincham, was behind the wheel, and upon searching the car, officers found a Nokia mobile phone in a storage compartment. Checks revealed this was the same phone used to sell drugs in November and December, reports Cheshire Live.
In the wake of a major drug bust, Foster was arrested at the scene, and his personal iPhone was seized, which later revealed his illicit drug activities. During questioning by police officers, he remained silent, refusing to answer any of their questions.
However, authorities uncovered damning evidence on Foster’s iPhone, including proof of him purchasing large quantities of cocaine in May 2023, text discussions about the extent of his drug supply operation, as well as images flaunting significant sums of cash and requests for cocaine. Additional evidence such as cell-site data and ANPR footage tied Foster directly to the drug line’s location.
After compiling a solid case, Foster was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Upon his sentencing, Detective Sergeant John Lyons from Northwich Proactive CID commented: “It’s great to see another drug dealer taken off the streets of Northwich and I hope Foster’s sentencing acts as a warning to others.”
“Despite his refusal to answer any questions, the strength of the evidence against him was overwhelming and he had no option but to plead guilty to the charges against him. While Foster is now behind bars, our fight against illegal drugs continues and we are committed to doing all we can to ensure those responsible are held accountable for their actions.”
Detective Sergeant Lyons continued: “However, this is not an issue that we can tackle alone, information from the public is vital if we are to breakdown the organised crime groups who bring misery to our streets, and I would appeal to anyone who has information to come forward.”
