The Brookside star shared the special update
Claire Sweeney was flooded with messages of support after a special family update. The Coronation Street star regularly shares updates from her life away from the screen on Instagram.
She has taken to the social media platform to reveal she marked a special occasion as her son Jaxon turned 10. The family’s special day almost took a turn when Jaxon’s birthday cake failed to meet expectations.
However, the 53-year-old thanked Costco for “saving the day” as she took a trip to the shop to make sure her son wasn’t disappointed. Claire has shared a fresh update to share pictures of Jaxon enjoying his special day.
She said: “On a positive note @costco_uk do the best birthday cakes and so cheap! Also I adore @occasionspimlico you always do great balloons for Jaxon’s birthday, but this year is extra special thank you. #notanad #paidfor #localbusiness”

Claire received messages of support from her Coronation Street co-stars after the update. Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster on the show, said: “Happy birthday Jaxon.”
Emmerdale star MIchelle Hardwick commented: “Happy birthday Jaxon.” The post was liked thousands of times from many of Claire’s celebrity friends, including one from her boyfriend Ricky Hatton.
Claire’s relationship with the boxing legend has gone from strength to strength since they competed on the latest season of Dancing On Ice. They regularly share updates on social media from their blossoming romance.
Claire has previously shared the secrets to their blossoming romance as she told Lorraine: “I’ve known Ricky for like 25 years and always passed each other at events.
She added: “I first met him in La Manga in the early 2000’s, then we did Dance for Comic Relief together 2013, and then we met on Dancing on Ice and it’s great.”
She also shared one thing they have in common, as she added: “He makes me laugh and we both like Only Fools and Horses, so what’s not to like!” The former welterweight champion said he knew there was a “half a chance” he could find romance with Claire on Dancing On Ice due to their relationship status.

He added: “I always knew when I turned up and saw she was going on the ice that she was single and I knew I was single. And I knew how we had gotten on so well every time we met each other. I probably thought I had half a chance, yeah. And as it turned out it was yeah.”
Hatton couldn’t be happier with the Coronation Street and Brookside star. He said: “It’s amazing [to find] someone you’ve probably known for 25 years. I’ve been in relationships and she’s been in relationships.
“I’ve had my kids and she’s had her kids. And then 25 years later we found each other. It’s quite a nice story.” Hatton may have crashed out of Dancing On Ice in the first round but his experience on the show was positive so he wouldn’t rule out another reality style programme in the future.
