Two people have been injured in a crash that has closed a main road for hours. Merseyside Police confirmed the injuries after emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the crash on Childwall Valley Road at around 8.50pm today, Saturday, September 28.
The force incident manager at Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO two people suffered minor injuries in the crash, with one being taken to hospital. Photos from the scene sent to the ECHO showed a Range Rover with its roof removed and North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service at the scene alongside police.
Childwall Valley Road remains shut while emergency services deal with the incident involving multiple cars. The crash is believed to have happened near to the Army Reserve Centre and Childwall Valley Primary School.
