Liverpool have been linked with Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala as he enters the final 18 months of his contract
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer believes Jamal Musiala could stay at the club for over two decades amid Liverpool links. In recent months, Arne Slot’s side have been linked with the Germany star.
The Reds have been the topic of speculation surrounding the talented midfielder. Caught Offside reported this month that Liverpool were showing an “increasing interest” in the 21-year-old as he enters the final 18 months at Allianz Arena.
Vincent Kompany and chiefs at the Bavarian chiefs are reportedly looking to extend his stay at the Bundesliga giants. It has been suggested that the potential for contract uncertainty has raised the attention of Liverpool as well as Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Bayern president has admitted that Musiala could follow in the foot steps of iconic German attacker Thomas Muller and stay at the Germany giants for 20 years. He told Abendzeitung Muenchen: “I have a lot of respect for Jamal.
“When you see how he has developed, it’s incredible. We want to do everything we can to keep him at FC Bayern in the long term.
“In my opinion, he could easily become the next Thomas Müller and play here for the next 20 years. I’m very optimistic.”
Bayern sporting director has already emphasised the importance of the 21-year-old continuing his association with the club. Christoph Freund revealed talks are ongoing, he said: “It’s a very important topic for us.
“Jamal should be one of the faces of the club in the coming years and it’s our big wish to keep him at the club. He’s a fantastic player and does special things on the pitch.
“Fans come to the stadium to watch players like him. We’re in talks, we have a good relationship with Jamal and his entourage. We want to keep him.”
