My Mum, Your Dad viewers were left fuming as Davina McCall shocked contestants and announced a shock twist that no one saw coming.
During Thursday’s episode of the ITV hit dating show the parents’ children, who have been observing them from a video bunker, were tasked with writing a sweet letter to their parents as part of the final workshop.
Things got emotional as the parents gathered around a fire pit to read their childrens’ heartfelt letters and as each person read out their notes everyone burst out in tears.
However, in a shock twist after the heart-warming moment, Davina took everyone by surprise as she announced that the singletons who didn’t manage to find her had to leave the retreat immediately.

Davina started off by saying: “With everyone’s time on the retreat coming to an end, I’m here to speak to the parents as there are some big decisions ahead.”
Speaking to the parents, she continued: “So you all came here looking and hoping for a romantic connection. I wanted to come and ask you if you would like to continue exploring your connections or you feel your journey ends here.”
One by one each parent went on to reveal their decision but their was one moment that caught everyone by surprise as Davina announced: “For the rest of you I can see how much you have learnt from this experience and even though you haven’t found a romantic connection you’ve made some amazing friendships and you’ve all grown so much but it is time to leave the retreat.”
She continued: “And they (their children) are finding this out as they watch this right now. Your kids are going to come and pick you up and take you home. You’re going to get reunited with your kids.”
Everyone gasped as they didn’t see it coming. viewers watching at home were just as shocked as they went to social media to share their reactions.
One viewer tweeted: “I would hate that being kicked out of the blue #mymumyourdad.” Another wrote: “This is a bit harsh!!”
A third wrote: “Even the kids were caught off guard just then. They’re all moving on out. #MyMumYourDad.” Meanwhile one added: “#MyMumYourDad so the whole thing was pointless then? If nobody found love or a relationship, they all go home now.”
