A man was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder
A 16-year-old boy was charged after violent disorder broke out in Merseyside. Today, Thursday, September 26, detectives have charged a schoolboy and arrested a man in connection with violent disorder that took place in Walton on Saturday, August 3.
The teenager from Walton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with violent disorder and theft. He will appear in court today. A 37-year-old man from Walton has also been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and is in police custody to be questioned.
The total number of people arrested for disorder in Merseyside now stands at 115, with 76 charged and 55 sentenced to a combined 116 years and 4 months. Police said they would encourage anyone with information to contact them via Public Portal (mipp.police.uk) or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
